When it comes to our patients, we are always grateful when they decide to come to us. We realize that we aren’t the only practice and ultimately, it’s the patient’s decision that determines who they entrust to perform a specific procedure.

A sincere “thank you” goes to our patients and blog readers for their votes and their support in this year’s Best of the Best awards from the Chattanooga Times Free Press. These awards mean a great deal to Southern Surgical Arts because you determine who will be the winners and finalists in this annual event.

Women’s heart health is an issue of vital importance to many members of the Southern Surgical Arts family, and they are especially vocal about this cause during the month of February, National Heart Month. At last Friday’s 3^rd annual IgniteRed event, SSA shared their commitment with more than 200 of their closest friends, family, community members, and partners as they all came together to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease in women.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Carey Nease was recently named a finalist in the Best of the Best awards for North Georgia! Thousands of votes were cast in this year’s awards, and Dr. Nease was voted to be one of “best of the best” cosmetic surgeons in the area.

Today we are pleased to announce some exciting news regarding SSA’s very own Dr. Carey Nease! Last month, Dr. Nease was elected to the office of President-Elect of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He was nominated and elected by the current board of trustees. His term, which begins this month and ends in December, will then segue into a term of President of the Board for the year 2018.

The New Year is HERE! It’s that time that so many of us use to take stock and examine ways we can improve our quality of life, our health, our habits, and relationships for the year to come. New Year’s Resolutions can be so helpful because they force us to look at things we are not happy with, and take steps to change them. It’s a bonus to know that so many others are also doing the same thing, at the same time—hopefully giving us a little extra motivation, not to mention a feeling of camaraderie. And the New Year is an ideal time to start fresh with a new routine.

2016 has been a busy and blessed year, filled with so many things for which everyone here at Southern Surgical Arts is thankful. This holiday week we’d like to list some of the many wonderful things that have happened this year, just in time for Thanksgiving!

Thanks to our Fall Faces event, IgniteRed, the introduction of SculpSure and more, we’ve had several busy months at Southern Surgical Arts. That’s exactly how we like it, and we’ll have more exciting news to share over the coming weeks (hint: keep your eye on this blog)! In fact, we’ve had so much going on that mentions of Southern Surgical Arts are popping up all over the place.

On Friday, February 5^th, Southern Surgical Arts sponsored the 2^nd annual IgniteRed event in conjunction with the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day.
