Cosmetic Surgery Center Teams with Charities to Give Back to Community

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Jun 4, 2012 5:59:00 PM
Southern Surgical Arts, Chattanooga's leading cosmetic surgery center, is pleased to announce their recent alignment with the Breast Oasis and Allergan Brilliant Distinction charities. Through their philanthropic efforts, Southern Surgical Arts will give back to women in the local community.

Both charity outreach programs have a common thread -- they target women who have undergone a cosmetic surgery procedure.

Through Breast Oasis, women who have had breast augmentations and no longer fit in their pre-surgery bras are encouraged to donate the slightly used under garments. Once collected by participating retailers and cosmetic surgery centers, like Southern Surgical Arts, these bras are then sorted, washed, gift-wrapped and delivered to women in need. Recipients, many of which are in homeless or crisis centers, are even provided with messages of encouragement from the donators through an online bra-identification number messaging system.

To date, Breast Oasis has collected and donated over 100,000 bras to women across the country and has plans to expand internationally, including in disaster zones. With the recent launch of Southern Surgical Arts' bra collection initiatives they hope to take in 400 bras for the Breast Oasis charity this year.

"It is truly a grass-roots movement to bring the community together," said Dr. Chad Deal, a fellowship-trained and Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon at the surgery center. "Champion Cleaners' Hickory Valley Road location will be laundering the bras we collect, and donate them to Chattanooga Room in the Inn, a temporary home for women and children in need."

Southern Surgical Arts cosmetic surgery practice is also working with the Allergan Brilliant Distinctions program. Allergan Brilliant Distinctions gives credit to patients each time they receive a BOTOX® Cosmetic or JUVÉDERM® XC treatment from a participating physician. These credits can be redeemed at a later time for discounts on additional procedures or donated as cash contributions to Dress for Success, the Make a Wish Foundation or other charities. The points can now be donated to Southern Surgical Arts' charity.

"Bring the Breast Oasis and Allergan Brilliant Distinctions programs to the Chattanooga area couldn't be more exciting," says Dr. Carey Nease, a triple-board certified cosmetic surgeon at Southern Surgical Arts. "We truly believe that through these amazing charities we can make a positive impact in the lives of women."

To drop off bras for Breast Oasis, visit either of Southern Surgical Arts' locations located at One North Shore, 200 Manufacturers Rd - Suite 105, Chattanooga, TN or 120 Cornerstone Way, Calhoun GA. For more information on donating credits earned in the Allergan Brilliant Distinctions program, call Southern Surgical Arts at 423-266-3331.

Champion Cleaners is run by Tim & Kathy Miller and is located at 2301 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

Cellulaze, Cellulite Treatment in Chattanooga

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Mar 20, 2012 6:03:00 PM
Cynosure announced its Cellulaze Workstation for treatment of cellulite. Cellulaze promises to deliver long-lasting results after only one short treatment. This is based on clinical research that shows that the results lasted two years. The best results are for women who are not significantly overweight but have mild to moderate cellulite -- particularly on their thighs.

Cellulite has been an ongoing battle for many women. "Most women are hesitant to have any cellulite reduction procedure because of failed promises in the past," said Dr. Carey Nease. "If Cellulaze can truly deliver the long-lasting results, then patients and physicians alike will be happy!" Southern Surgical Arts currently has the Triactive laser that treats cellulite, which was the latest and greatest technology a few years ago. Patients have to come in for 6-8 treatments to see a result as compared to Cellulaze, the one treatment option.

When Southern Surgical Arts ask their Facebook fans what they thought about Cellulaze, the response was positive. "We will wait and see how patients on a national level respond the the new technology," said Dr. Chad Deal. "Although we provide the latest laser technology, we also want to make sure it will deliver results for our patients."

If you are interested in cellulite reduction, visit us on Facebook and let us know. We'd love to hear your feedback.

Limited Time Breast Augmentation Discount at Chattanooga Cosmetic Surgery Center

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Feb 21, 2012 6:04:00 PM

Earlier this month, Southern Surgical Arts announced a limited time discount on our standard breast augmentation procedure. In less than an hour, women can obtain a more youthful look to their breasts with a firmer, fuller appearance through a minimal scar either under the breast crease or in the axilla (armpit).

Breast augmentations are ideal for women age 18 to 65 who are non-smokers and in generally good health. Those looking to aesthetically enhance the look of their breast for a fuller appearance can greatly benefit from Southern Surgical Arts' experienced surgeons. The outpatient procedure is done in a fully accredited surgical center by placing an implant of FDA approved saline or silicone gel behind the natural breast tissue and chest muscle.  Recovery is typically 3-5 days.

"At Southern Surgical Arts our team of fellowship-trained and board-certified cosmetic surgeons are here to walk you through every step of breast augmentation, from discovering more about your options to post-operation recovery," assures triple board-certified cosmetic surgeon, Carey Nease, MD. "Doctor Chad Deal and myself have performed thousands of implant surgeries and are confident that you'll be pleased with the results."

"We highly encourage our patients to browse through our before and after gallery so that patients can get a good idea of what results they can expect. We are very proud of our outcomes and it brings us great joy to see the smiles on our patients during their follow up visits," said Dr. Chad Deal.

Patients with PIP implants who need them exchanged also qualify for a $250 American Express gift card from Southern Surgical Arts implant provider, Mentor Corporation.

To learn more about these cosmetic surgeries, or to book a breast augmentation consultation and secure your $500 discount, call 423-266-3331 today.

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Nov 9, 2011 6:08:00 PM
Southern Surgical Arts announces the addition of a new injectable called XEOMIN. The product will compete with Botox and Dysport providing patients and physicians with a new option for improving the appearance of glabellar lines. XEOMIN is approved for the temporary improvement in the appearance of glabellar lines.

"Southern Surgical Arts is known for providing patients with an array of products" said Dr. Carey Nease. "Although Xeomin is different from its competitors, the manufacturer touts its differences." The difference in this product compared to Botox, according to Merz Pharmaceuticals who distributes the product, is that XEOMIN lacks proteins that may induce an allergic response that can lessen its effectiveness. Therefore, providing a longer lasting alternative.

XEOMIN is available at Southern Surgical Arts beginning November 11, 2011. If you'd like to try the product, please call and schedule an appointment to receive a special offer of 20% off. Offer valid on November 11 in our Chattanooga office only.
