According the statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgery, liposuction accounted for 325,332 cosmetic surgical procedures in 2011. Cosmetic Surgery increased by 5% in 2011 according the the American Society of Plastic Surgery. This includes a total of 13.8 million cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures combined.

Cynosure announced its Cellulaze Workstation for treatment of cellulite. Cellulaze promises to deliver long-lasting results after only one short treatment. This is based on clinical research that shows that the results lasted two years. The best results are for women who are not significantly overweight but have mild to moderate cellulite -- particularly on their thighs.
