Commitment to Cosmetic Surgery & Community

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Nov 1, 2010 9:27:00 AM
Dr. Nease is a Double-Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon. What does that mean? That means that his practice is 100% commited, focused, dedicated to cosmetic surgery. He does nothing else but Face & Neck Lifts, Cosmetic Breast Surgery, Tummy Tucks, Liposuction and SmartLipo, Mommy Makeovers and a few other cosmetic surgeries that can enhance your body and your life.

During Dr. Nease's cosmetic surgery fellowship four years ago, he performed more than 700 cosmetic surgeries in his training year alone. Since then, Dr. Nease has focused his practice at Southern Surgical Arts around the latest laser technology to bring the patients of North Georgia and Chattanooga a cosmetic surgery practice dedicated to experience and excellence. After more than 3,500 cosmetic surgery cases, 2 Best of the Best Awards, 2 Reader's Choice Awards and many happy patients in the Before and After Gallery, we invite you to call for a complimentary consultation.

Over the last two years, Dr. Nease and Southern Surgical Arts have been dedicated to our community. In 2009 and 2010, we have donated to various worthy charities totaling more than $25,000 each year! We believe that there are some things in life that are worth standing for: Healthcare, Education, Community, Children, Animals and Character. Update on the Latest Building and Research News

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Oct 30, 2010 9:28:00 AM
We have been working with our bank and builder to get the new location on Cowart Street going. And, our delay has been the comparable real estate appraisals in downtown Chattanooga. So, while we wait for the market to turn around, we are negotiating for temporary space in beautiful, historic Main Street. We believe in the revitalization of Main Street, and we hope to open shortly after the New Year. Watch for our progress. We'll keep you posted, so you can join in our excitement.

Vince Gardner, MD, our first Cosmetic Surgery training fellow, has adjusted well to the fast-paced program at Southern Surgical Arts. He continues to research the data and presentation of Dr. Nease's
Laser Face Lift Study which was a clinical study for facial rejuvenation and advanced face lifting techniques using two lasers in combination. This technique is cutting edge technology with the goal of minimizing downtime and scarring while achieving naturally youthful results. Drs. Nease and Gardner will present their findings at the 27th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Phoenix, Arizona this January. Initial patient experience to the study has been positive and Dr. Nease has been pleased with the results. Statistical analysis is pending.

We'll update you on both the new Chattanooga location and the results of the Laser Face Lift study very soon! ~ Pam

What makes my job rewarding

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Oct 27, 2010 9:29:00 AM
I had a patient come in for a follow up this week who had a Tummy Tuck and SmartLipo a few months ago, and I just wanted to share with you her before and after pictures. This patient is a 38 year old who came to me with concerns of excess skin and fat deposits on her abdomen and flanks. The after pictures were taken 8 weeks after surgery. Recovery time is about 2-3 weeks to be back to normal activities and even some light exercise. You can see in this picture that she is going to be wearing her bikini when she heads to the beach for vacation later this month. She is extremely happy with her results, and it makes me feel great to help women like her feel good about themselves and their bodies again. Getting results like this and making people happy is very rewarding, and I love my job!

For all of you Dysport fans, we just found out that Dysport is offering a $50 rebate until December 31st. Dysport is the new Botox and was recently FDA-approved for the treatment of facial lines and wrinkles. It works by relaxing the facial muscles that pull on the skin creating crows feet and lines on the brow. In fact, there was a recent study that found Dysport offers a significant efficacy advantage over the well-established Botox Cosmetic for treating crow's feet. Click here to read more information about the study... And, then call our office to take advantage of the $50 Rebate! ~ Pam

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Oct 19, 2010 9:30:00 AM
We are excited about our new partnership with MyMedicalLoan.com to offer our patients a variety of affordable financing programs. There is a loan program for every budget and rates start as low as 9.9%. Even more exciting, MyMedicalLoan.com offers a guarantee financing program for cosmetic surgery procedures. Now you can get financing even if you get declined for traditional financing, don’t have a co-signer, and don’t have a good credit score. The program is called No Patient Left Behind, and we think this may be the answer for some of us facing the credit crunch. Give Tracie a call if you want her help in applying for this great new financing option with MyMedicalLoan.com or click here to be directed to the application right on our website! ~ Pam

Cosmetic Surgery at Grandview Medical Center

Posted by Southern Surgical Arts on Oct 17, 2010 9:30:00 AM
Last week I had a great experience operating at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN, about 20 minutes West of Chattanooga. I did an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with Smartlipo (laser lipo) of the flanks and thighs. The OR staff was excellent and the patient had a great experience as well. She was able to stay overnight for observation and went home the next day. She commented that her care was as good as she could hope for, and she felt comfortable with the entire experience. I'm happy to be able to partner with a quality, private hospital in the greater Chattanooga area and provide a safe and comfortable experience for my cosmetic surgery patients. I'll be working at Grandview on most Fridays going forward and will be available to see consults there in the Medical Arts office building next to the hospital. ~ Dr. Nease
