If you’ve visited our offices lately, chances are you’ve already met the subject of this blog post. If not, we’re excited to introduce the newest member of the Southern Surgical Arts family: Dr. Vincent Gardner!
Dr. Gardner comes to Southern Surgical Arts with more than 18 years of surgical experience. After an impressive career in general surgery, Dr. Gardner decided to pursue further training in cosmetic surgery, which led to a fellowship with Southern Surgical Arts.
At Southern Surgical Arts, Dr. Gardner has performed a number of diverse cosmetic surgical procedures, including minimally-invasive facial rejuvenation with injectables and fillers. He has also performed face lifts, breast lifts and implant surgeries, and body contouring procedures using liposculpture and other techniques.
Not only has Dr. Gardner demonstrated a mastery of general surgical techniques and cosmetic surgery, he is also a specialist in the treatment of venous disorders, including modern, minimally-invasive procedures. He joined the Alabama Vascular and Vein Center in 2007, where he specialized in using endovenous techniques to treat venous diseases.
Dr. Gardner received a B.S. in Biology from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and later earned his M.D. from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama. During his surgical training with Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, he was awarded the prestigious Hugh Linder Award for most outstanding resident in surgery.
Dr. Gardner is certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He has also earned credentials in ultrasound and is also a Registered Surgeon in Vascular Interpretation (RPVA). Since he joined SSA, Dr. Gardner has served on the faculty of SSA’s American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s Fellowship Program. As a member of the faculty, he trains rising leaders in surgery from around the country each year.
Dr. Gardner lives on Signal Mountain with his wife and daughters. When he’s not providing outstanding care to his patients at SSA or on mission trips to Honduras, he can be found watching college football or perfecting his skill in woodworking.
We are fortunate to have Dr. Gardner as a member of the SSA team not only because of his diverse surgical experience expertise, but because his dedication to providing his patients with the most comfortable, modern, and effective procedures available fits right in with SSA’s philosophy that patient satisfaction and safety is the #1 priority.
There’s more exciting news to come involving Dr. Gardner, but we can’t tell you yet. Please keep your eyes on this blog for a major announcement coming soon!
